Ally Bank Commercial

Ally Bank recently changed names from GMAC bank and they are really pushing the advertising front very heavily. All over, we see commercials of the bank and they are actually not too bad. Here are the three variations for you to enjoy.

I’m a 56 father and have raised 3 children who are now good parents themselves.
If you are not a parent, do not attempt a rely here.
I hate those ALLY BANK commercials! Those little children are duped and then emotionally abused! Even if they are actors (see link about making them)http://www.cnbc.com/id/31963049
, the stinging pain of the switch & burn is very evident in their face.
How the hell can anyone not feel for them?
For God’s sake,
THEY ARE LITTLE CHILDREN! NOT LITTLE ADULTS.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR HURTING CHILDREN PHYSICALLY OR EMOTIONALLY!!!!!!!!!!
If a person witnessed that kind of interaction in public between a parent and a child, they would call their state’s Children Protection Agency and it would be investagated. The children may even be removed from the parents custody.
ALLY BANK has stooped to a new low in commercials, hurting little children to make a selling point. SHAME ON ALLY BANK AND GOD HELP US.

I couldn’t agree more. Everyone wants to ignore the damage done to those little actors, I find this sad and disappointing. My kids believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny, because they deserve joy and the rewards that come from good behaviour. These commercials are sick and demonstrate once again the callus cruelty corporations will inflict upon anyone for a profit. I will never do business with Ally and my friends and family share this opinion. Shame on Ally.

I’m a father from the old school who would win father of the year awards by anyone who knows me and there’s nothing wrong with the commercials. The kids are acting and obviously acting good enough to make you think they’re being emotionally abused. Quit being so uptight and realize what’s really happening here.

I agree; your commercials are horrendous!! Sends a terrible message to children.

As an educator, Iimplore you to take them off the air.

I think the commercials are great and that those commenting here are a bit too sensitive. I have two sons, so dont dismiss my comment as coming from a single man. Relax.

I also hate those commercials and feel children all over are abused each time one is aired. The feelings invoked by this cruelty are hurtfull, mean and just plain wrong.

WOW. So im guessing all of you people who are calling this abuse have never lied to your children. Your kids know there is no Santa/Easter Bunny/God? Because you eouldnt want to lie to them about any of those things.
I hope they make more of them where the kids are actually made to cry. Just to spite you morons.

I take it you are a fellow atheist-good for you! I grew up a religious Protestant, and now I consider religion a scam.

But I dont think you can compare these horrid commercials to telling your kids about the Easter Bunny, tooth fairy, etc. Liitle kids arent adults, and they will soon find out Santa isnt real. BUT THEY ARE KIDS! let them have their fantasy.

If the kids were instead adults who got duped, I think it would be more appropriate. or if the kids were at least teenagers.

But little kids? No! Let them be kids-they have enough time to face reality.

PS, if you have little kids, do you not let the believe in Santa? If not, shame on you!

Two words commentators…….Lighten up!!!! It is an advertisement for adults not children and if you ALLOW your kids to watch these abominations and leave your kids emotionally scarred then shame on YOU. I don’t believe these are aired on kids channels and again YOU are responsible for what they watch and god help us….duped with plastic ponies and cardboard cars come on?????

Oh, for goodness sake . . . lighten up. I have a feeling the children, and their parents, aren’t taking this nearly as seriously as you are. Wow.

I absolutely adore these Ally Bank Commercials. Personally, I think it is brilliant marketing, chances are that your kids and my kids will be ripped of in their life time by someone, the commercials are not abusive they are educational. In my opinion Ally bank is simply making the statement that even a child knows better…this is not an abusive concept, it more like saying lets get back to the basics and face reality..No one wants to be taken advantage of (especially by their financial institution), I bet the beautiful children in these commercials are glad they made them… and my guess would be the parents wouldn’t have allowed their children to participate if they felt their children were abused. Use common sense people….

Just life, enjoy every moment. Life goes on a spiral. It might take generations to go from one place to the other. Sometimes, it doesn’t take that long. Remember, every action brings a reaction.

You’ve got some issues you need to deal with if you think this is abuse…What is your problem…

The Ally Bank ads suck. I would not do business with a company that PROMOTES CHILD ABUSE if it was the only bank in town. Who ever wrote those ads should be locked up and who ever has approved those ads at Ally Bank should be publically reprimanded and then FIRED. They are disgusting and promoting mistreating children, teaching children to lie, teaching children to steal, I guess that must be the culture of business of Ally Bank, or at least that is the impression I, and I am sure many others, has gotten from such a poorly conceived ad campaign.

Reading all the above comments by those who think there is nothing wrong in portraying betrayal, lieing, cheating, merely demonstrates the lack strong morales that has been lost in our society, which is why such commercials are popular, and the US is no longer the world economic leader that it had been.

Take those commercials off the air….I can’t stand hurting a child’s feelings like you do…and I can’t understand how you can deal with people, if you don’t already have these feelings…makes me sick and will never deal with a company like yours..

Ally Bank is AWESOME! for putting out those commercials!! I intend on changing over all my accounts to them. LOL Personally I think they should push the envelope even further with this concept…HILARIOUS!! C’mon people….most commercials realllllly suck ass because they’re so boring and ridiculous, but the Ally commercials ROCK!!

I wrote to the bank twice complaining about the subtle message of child abuse in the ads and they wrote back stating that no children were abused in the making of the ads – they were actors! So it may be that they are stupid as well as mean.

It must be that the creators of these ads have not had children yet – they just don’t “get it”. They think they’re clever. They have no idea how many people they are turning off with their “cleverness”.

ALLY BANK’S TV COMMERCIAL, like the previously run VW AUTO COMMERCIAL, appear to convey a mutaully held “belief” that emotionally/literally harming children sells product

* VW = had their slap the baby in the stroller commercial (last year)
* ALLY BANK – had to change their name (first “heads up”) then emotionally abuse children by projecting their “bait/switch” rules on children —-ah, who wouldn’t TRUST IN THIS BANK ???

bottom line: BOTH COMMERCIALS appear to give “potential” customers INSIGHT INTO HOW EACH WILL BE TREATED ——LOOK/LISTEN PEOPLE !
